It was Friday afternoon when we received the first call from the trouble maker herself ..Melissa. She informed us that throughout the past week she has had numerous requests for PB&J to return to Escalon. How could we say no to our new fans?!??! Now, we know these people are classier than wrestlers, coors light cans and transvestites, so we got ourselves all dolled up and headed out. We walk into the bar...it felt like we were on a walk of shame due to the fact that we couldn't remember anyone we had met on Halloween night. But then out of the crowd we heard a chant "O-H!" and our heads popped with an "I-O!" and we felt welcomed in! One new friend informed us that we were chanting this throughout the night of halloween, as well as peanut butter jelly time! Needless to say we had no idea and therefore gained back another memory of that EPIC night.
Not 2 seconds later we were handed shots that tasted like fresh squeezed lemonade..I don't think these people learned the lesson that us and liquor are a deadly combination. This exchange of shots continued well into the night. We could not be rude to our new friends and say no! We also dabbled in a little moose drool (dark chocolaty beer) and a new friend Justin's Pinot Grigio....again how can you say no. So the horrible combinations continued on throughout the night.
After the first stop we headed to the much talked about VI bar and lounge. It is one of 2 bars in Escalon and it is AMAZING! We were there for no more than 15 minutes when we realized you could karaoke upon request and they had TWO microphones! When the DJ announced PB&J, we ran to the stage and belted out our best version of hang on sloopy. We were trying to give a lil piece of home to our new friends but pictures later revealed that no one was participating or even looking our way for that matter. When we were finished one man (who is a questionable friend) told us, more like yelled at us to "Don't ever F*%$ing do that again! That was terrible!". We laughed and moved on knowing that sticks and stones may break my bones but words may never hurt me! (I hope he is there the next time! Cuz we will be back!)
We were having a good time when suddenly water sprayed the sides of our faces. Looking around we were a little dazed and confused as to why this turned into a water fight..when we realized that one girl slapped another girl and a fight had broken out. We later come to find out that this happened to be our coworker in her not so finest moment. Needless to say she got kicked out! She needs a lesson on keepin it classy in such a classy establishment..
The rest of the night is a blur but what we do remember is
1. We got invited to Cabo next week
2. We got invited to Vegas for a rodeo and a stay in the upper floor of the MGM
3. Wine tasting at 3pm the next day (there is no way we could make that)
4. We met Jenn's babysitter from her escape to the swingset halloween night
5. We gave relationship advice to one of our new friends (clearly they do not know us at all)
6. People were tearing up when we said we only had one month left in Modesto and begged us to stay!
and
7. We will always be known as PB&J..a name we wear with pride!
